The majority of our rental fleet consists of Fontaine (the #1 builder of open deck trailers in N. America) and Transcraft/Benson (the #2 builder of open deck trailers in N. America). The average age of our fleet is 3.5 years old with the majority of our trailers still under the factory 5-year warranty. The top two brands have proven for over 50 years each why they continue to be market leaders by reliable performance, safe operation and prestige of being the market trend seters and leaders. Keeping the rental process fair and simple!

Reno’s Trailer Sales and Rentals is straight forward and fully transparent in regards to the payment and turn in arrangements. Most rental companies will give you a “monthly rate” which is based on a 4-week billing cycle so that the rate appears to be cheaper than other options BUT the 4-week cycle tricks you into 13 payments per year. On the other hand, we are straight shooters. A month is actually a twelfth of a year. We bill 12 times per year and not 13. We keep it simple not playing word games to milk a 13th payment out of you.

Our rentals are on a flat rate basis. We do not charge a per mile fee (.05 to .09 cents or more per mile in the industry). We provide a trailer that is ready to go to work that is safe and aesthetically pleasing. Since we are not charging per mile the maintenance is left up to the renter. The only charges that would be additional upon trailer return would be tire wear, brake wear and any unrepaired damages. We charge per 32” of tire wear and ¼” of brake wear. If the trailer is brought back damaged the repairs will be billed back to the renter. If you bring the trailer back with the same amount of tire tread, same amount of brake pad and free of damages nothing else would be due or collected. We are keeping it simple!

Try before you buy.

Have you ever bought a truck or a trailer and found out the rates you could earn were not as advertised? Wanted to switch to try another type of trailer but you could not because you were equity trap with the loan?
Renting affords you the opportunity to try different models and brands to see what works for you and find out what you like. At anytime you can turn in the trailer you are renting for a different model to fit your needs. If flatbed freight slows you can turn it in for a drop deck. If drop deck slows turn it in for a lowboy. If everything slows just turn it in and keep your credit in good standing! Renting gives you the ultimate flexibility!

Establish commercial credit.

Is your business too new for traditional financing? Are you too young/old for certain lenders? Bumps and bruises on your credit? Did the banks put limits on what you can borrow? Renting may be the solution for you. We own 100% of our rental fleet and all of our decisions are made in house on a customer-by-customer basis. If we believe you will take care of our equipment and make the payments chances, are we will rent to you even though you may have some of the aforementioned circumstances

Off balance sheet transaction that is 100% tax deductible.

Rental payments are not required to be reflected as a liability on your company’s balance sheet freeing up your credit lines for other needed purchases/operating expenses/breakdowns and so on. Additionally, the rental payment is a 100% expense that comes straight off of your bottom line. If you consider the tax savings into the rental payment the real after-tax result is probably around 30% reduction in what you actually are paying to rent the trailer.
